Nissan Repair: 05 Altima starting up, altima, stereo system

When starting my Altima it sometimes doesnt start right away, it will take 2 or three times to start up. I have a stereo system in the my car so i have changed the battery to a heavy duty one with like 1100 cranking amps could that be the problem

I don;t think the battery is the problem. I need some answers from you, if you will to help with the diagnosis. Does the car have difficulty starting when cold, or when hot, or both? Other than starting, does it operate normally? Do you smell gasline when you are having trouble starting? When it finally starts, does black smoke come out of the exhaust?
