QUESTION: I have a 1994 Maxima GXE, I found the digital entry control module on p/s kickpanel but i don't know what the three sets of numbers are on there & would like to reprogram my door mounted entry keypad. Thank You

ANSWER: Joey,

If the door panel keypad is not working resetting it will not do the trick as the module is defective.  Replace the module.  GO to the local wrecking yard and get one and replace yours.

FIrst remove the glovebox.  Then remove the two screws that hold the silver box above the opening, on the right.  This is the control module for the keypad.  Get the numbers off this box, the one that starts with an (s)  Write the numbers down and reinstall the box.  Put the code in the car and it should beep for several seconds and then follow the owners manual for entering a new code.
