Nissan Repair: Passenger side mirror, spare lens, side mirror

I'm trying to replace the lens on the passenger side mirror of my 2001 Nissan patrol. I have the spare lens but are not sure how much force is required to locate it or if I need to remove the actual mirror housing.

Hi Madi -

The mirror is held by silicone, or double stick tape. You can remove it by prying at it. It will break to pieces, but moot point since you are replacing it anyway. I would suggest using both double stick tape and silicone when replacing so it will not fall out when the silicone is curing.
