Nissan Repair: exterra 2003, reverse light switch, hex head

Question
my back-up lights started flickering and then went completely out all other
lights work. Checked both buls and fuses.     what else could be the problem? I
was told to check the switch but not aware of its location.  aAny help would be
greatly appreciated.

Hi Linda -

It could very well be the reverse light switch located on the transmission. I am assuming you have an automatic shift.\

As the location varies, look for a small device with a hex head, and a couple wires connected to it. It should be screwed directly into the transmission housing.

replace that, and you should be good to go -
