Nissan Repair: Nissan Sentra 2000 1.8 GXE, fuel pressure gauge, mass airflow sensor

Question
QUESTION: Hi I have a problem with my Sentra, It has a code P0174 and when I drive it has no power and very hard to reach 30MPH, I change 2 of the O2 sensor and change the air filter, and clean the MAF with the MAF cleaner, change the spark plug, but the car still have no power.
Do you think if I take it to NIssan Dealer they can figure out?
Please help.
Thank you.

ANSWER: Mendy,

If you have replaced both of the O2 sensors.  So, if it were me I would take it in where the shop can read the codes.  Email be back once this is complete.

QUESTION: The code is still the same P0174 (I have my own ODBII) the car is 115K miles.
Thanks for the quick reply.

ANSWER: Mendy,

It is probably the mass airflow sensor.  But, I would get a volt ohm meter and check it before replacement.  I have seen the problem where it shows one thing and it still ends up bgin the MAF.

QUESTION: Hi, I change the MAF with the Nissan Dealer (cost me $700) and the car is running good but after a few days the car start shaking if I drive under 60mph.
If I accelerate it takes 5 second for the car to response and after 5 second I got more power.
No more Check engine light.
I went back to the dealer and they change the exhaust seal but no use and they said "probably" we need to change the Fuel injector and cost me $900. I said it's not worthed and I will take my car home next Sat.
What do you think?
Thanks

Answer
Mendy,

The injectors could well be defective.  I would check the injectors with a fuel pressure gauge and see if they are leaking down and also do an ohms check before I replaced any of them.  The nice part is you only have four and they can be sourced for about $65 each on-line.  Check out courtesynissan.com or rockauto.com
