Nissan Repair: Broken spark plug porcelain in plug well, shop vacuum, diameter pipe

Question
Changing my plugs in my 97 Maxima I noticed I could't get one of them out, took a look, and half the porcelain is cracked in about 6 pieces.  Tried blowing compressed air to get the porcelain to "fly out", but no going.  Car starts fine and runs fine cold.  But when it warms up, it idles rough and accelerates rough so I am attributing this to the broken porcelain. Any clue how to get the porcelain out?  Can I drive it to the garage which is 10 miles away without doing damage?

Thanks!

Answer
Mike,

If you drove nice and slow you could get it to a garage without doing damage.  I would do it myself since the guys at the shop will just use a vacuum to get the material out.  Get a shop vacuum or your home vacuum and some tape and a small diameter pipe like sprinkler PVC line and tape a length to the end of your hose and suck out the fragments and then take out the sparkplug and replace it.
