Nissan Repair: 1997 Nissan Altima Stalls while Driving, nissan altima, service intervals

Question
Today on my way to work, my 1997 Nissan Altima with 124k miles stalled 4 times. Prior to that, I had smelt engine oil through the vents. I looked to see if there was any major leakage but couldn't find any. When the car idles, white smoke comes out of the exhaust that has the distinct smell of engine oil.
Any idea what's going on?

Answer
Ben,

Check the PCV valve to see if it is plugged or that the engine oil has not been changed at service intervals.  I would think the engine oil should be change along with the PCV valve as a first step.  Also, make sure the engine oil is not over full.  Email me back with what you find.
