Nissan Repair: 2000 Nissan Sentra SE, nissan sentra, engine vibration

Question
We purchased (today) a 2000 Nissan Sentra SE (93K miles) with the 2.0 liter engine and automatic transmission for a commuter car.  Noticed it seems to idle a bit rough from time to time mostly when sitting stationary (foot on brake) in either drive or reverse.  Also their seems to be some engine vibration transfered through the gas pedal during harder acceleration, but generally it is not noticeable.  It underwent a 105 point inspection from Honda and had a clean car fax.  What if anything should we do as far as diagnostic and/or maintenance to ensure we have the best running car possible and avoid any costly repairs.

Thanks,

Answer
Bill,

I would check the engine mounts for one being broke.  Especially the rear mount under the floor.  This one will transmit noise and vibration.  Also, check the radiator upper mounts too to make sure the rubber is not rotted out.  The radiator helps soak up vibration too.  The front wheel design transmist vibration to the steering wheel and firewall.  Also, if you have not done a tuneup with new plugs and a filter that helps too.  The plugs do not last 100,000 miles like advertised and should be replace around 60K miles.
