Nissan Repair: 2004 Nissan Quest, salvage yard, nissan quest

Question
Both sliding doors have been trouble for sometime.  We have taken it to the dealership and they said that we need new motors and hinges.  Nissan will not help.  the one motor works but many times needs assistance closing when it within 3 inches.  The other froze up and I had to cut the wire.  The motor still seems to work (make a noise) when pushing the button.  The dealership says that it will be over $1,200 to repair both doors.  Can I get these motors rebuilt or from another manufacturer?  I would assume that they buy it from someone like Bosch.  What can I do.  We have 100K on it and don't want a junker but want to sink a ton of money.  i called the dealership and they said that each motor is around $450.  The salvage yard sells it with the entire door.  Any advice or direction would be appreciated?

Answer
Jerry,

I would check rockauto.com and courtesynissan.com to source a new set of motors.  Also, check and clean the contacts when you put new motors in.  They are really easy to install.  I am so sorry that Nissan will not help.  But, the guys are courtesynissan.com can provide the parts at jobber if the people at rockauto.com can't.  When you replace the motors be sure to solder and heat shrink the wires so they do not short.
