Nissan Repair: air conditioner, nissan altima, nissan dealer

i have a 2000 nissan altima, and sometimes my ac works and sometimes it doesnt, it shuts off by itself. sounds like something clicks off and on, sometimes if i play with the button it will click on (i know its not the button thats broke) is it the compressor? or could it be something else?

Many things can prevent your compressor from staying on. There are pressure switches that can shut down the compressor if the pressures are to high or to low to keep the compressor from failing. When the pressures go back to normal it will allow the compressor to run again. A Nissan dealer will be able to quickly diagnose your problem with there scan tool.
