Nissan Repair: 2001 Nissan Pathfinder, mass air flow sensor, mass air flow

Experiencing bucking when accelerating the first few times, but runs Ok after.  And has a mild rattle while idling.  Already replaced spark plugs, #5 coil, air filter.  Still pulls up PO174 Lean Code.  Mechanic recommended I replace the fuel filter. Any other ideas?

Make sure that the intake hose its connected correctly, and that there are no leaks. If that is ok a fuel filter should be replaced if its due for service, Many times this code is associated with a faulty mass air flow sensor. The only way to know is to have a Nissan dealer diagnose it. Lastly, fuel filters can be installed incorrectly. So have it checked, if its the original its ok.
