Nissan Repair: Starter dragging, battery cables, nissan pickup

Question
I have a 90 nissan pickup 2.4L.  I am having trouble starting the truck after it gets hot.  It will start fine when it is cold, but after reaching operating temperature it will not start.  It barely turns over almost like the timing is high but it is set at 10 degrees BTDC.  I have replaced the starter and it did not change a thing.  I did notice that some of the wires from the positive cable to the starter are broke from the connector at the starter but their are still alot conncected.  Could the broken wires have anything to do with it?  I also noticed that the battery cables get pretty hot when I try to start it after it is hot.  Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you

Answer
Davey,

The wires need to be in good order and that means no corrosion and clean and tight.  If this is the case then I would be getting the system charging system checked to see if the alternator is putting out and the battery is in good working order.
