Nissan Repair: rear caliper 2000 maxima, rear caliper, screw type

Question
I'm attempting to replace the rear brakes I even have the tool to compress the caliper but I am unable to turn it at all. I even tried mounting the bolts back on without the rotor and pads to give me some leverage but still cant move it. I also released the bleeder screw. What else can I do.

Answer
Israel,

The rear caliper has to be screwed in as you compress it.  It is a function of the parking brake.  When the pad wears the rotor unscrews to take up the slack.  Go to a parts store and get a screw type caliper compression tool.  They will know what you are looking for.
