Nissan Repair: Nissan Maxima Window, nissan maxima, window regulators

Question
I have a 1995 Nissan Maxima One day I was driving and the drivers side window just started sliding down. I hit the button and I could hear the motor but it did not raise the window back up.  I can manually pull it up but then after awhile it starts sliding down again when I am driving.  Today the back passenger window started doing the same thing.  I never lower or raise the back window.  I live on a gravel road and I am wondering if the windows could be off track.

Answer
Linda,

The window regulators on both front doors need to be replaced as they have come loose from the glass.  You might get lucky and the bolt that holds the regulator to the glass could have come loose and that would be all that is required.  So, remove the door panel and see if the hardware is sitting in the bottom of the door and it might just need to be bolted back in place.  If the regulators are broken they will require replacement.
