Nissan Repair: Eratic behavior!, air control valve, ka24

92 KA24 Hardbody- The idel will sit at 2000 then fall back down to about 800 and sit then go back up. Sometimes it will barely even drive around because it is chugging and missing, firing completely off. It will run great then just start freaking out when ever it wants to. I've had the O2 censor replaced vacuum checked.  ?????

Check the distributor for oil on the optics.  If it was only doing it at idle I would say that it was the idle air control valve.  But, you state it has a miss when running too.  So, check the optical shutter wheel in the distributor.  It is under the cover under the rotor post.
