Nissan Repair: sqeaking noise, air conditioner compressor, belts

Question
I have a sqeaking noise on the right side of my engine that comes and goes. I noticed that it got worse the other day when I had an underbody wash done. It seems like it could be something to do with the air conditioner compressor. Is there any lubrication I could use on the spinning parts connected to the belts or should I just wait for the part that's squeaking to go bad?

Answer
Mike,

If the belts have not been changed in a few years I would get a new set put on.  If the belts are old and you tighten them up they might break and usually an old belt will not tighten sufficiently to keep them from making noise.  Replace the belts and you should be good to go without the noise.
