Nissan Repair: electrical, advanced auto parts, frontere

Question
I have a 98 nissan frontere. while driving at night, whem i turn the lights on tje air bag light comes opn and tt lights go dim. then the engine starts to hesitsate like its gonna stall out. tourn off the lights and the engine go vback to normal running. is this the voltage regulator?

Answer
it sounds like you have a lack of electricity to your lights when you turn them on.  this can be only resolved by 3 issues.  1. your alternator is on its way out and cant provide the needed voltage (regulator inside).  2. your battery cant provide the voltage to the alternator.  3.  bad ground on the battery.   i would check these things out and testing is all free (except for the ground wire, that will be a trial and error purchase).  take the alternator to any auto zone or advanced auto parts or something similar and they can test this for you free.  my guess is your alternator, but i gave you a few freebies as well.  good luck with this and let me know how this turns out.  xxp_sebby@yahoo.com

ps.  i would get this checked out soon, it may leave you stranded.
