Nissan Repair: Nissan Altima, nissan altima, blower motor

Question
My 94 Altima is making a ticking noise that is coming from under the glove box.  I can get it to turn off occasionally if I change the setting from the floor to another position such as defrost or from blowing on your feet to blowing on your face.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Answer
it sounds to me like there might be something that went into your dash, like a small peice of paper or something of the sort.  and you are hearing it when it is hiting the fan from the blower motor.  another possibilty is the blower motor itself is going bad.  does the ticking happen more if you blow it on high speed than on low speed...can you hear the tick on all speeds?  a suggestion would be to listen near the glove box and change the speeds to see whats up.  its nothing major, at most you will have to replace the motor, and it shouldnt cost much if you went with a junkyard part, maybe 40 at the most.  good luck!
