Nissan Repair: BCM circuit causing parasitic battery drain, nissan maxima se, fuse block

Question
1997 Nissan Maxima SE 5sp that has a parasitic battery drain that depletes the battery after about 5 days of no driving. I have traced the drain to the BCM circuit. An ammeter shows 130ma reading with doors closed and ignition off. I have pulled every fuse in both the under dash and the fuse block near the battery, the BCM fuse drops the draw from 130ma (.130)to 3ma (.003). I pulled all the associated relays to the BCM , no change. I have yet to dig into the BCM since its rather difficult to access. Any ideas on what this could be? I doubt its the BCM itself, all electrical accessories work fine.
thanks,
Mike

Answer
Mike,

It is rare that the BCM will short internally and drain the battery.  Are you sure the delay relay for the lights is not sticking?  Now, I would check all the pin switches on the doors and see that they are all working properly as these activate the BCM.  Also, check the trunk switch and the hood switch before you go after the BCM.  But, from what you say it is the BCM.  I have only seen this a couple of times in many years.  If you can source one from a wrecking yard you would be money ahead since the BCM is really expensive.  Something like $300...
