Nissan Repair: terrano valve clearance, valve clearance, overhead cam

Can anyone tell me what the tappet settings are for a 2.7TD Terrano, I have been told 0.25mm for inlet and exhaust when warm is this correct and is the setting different when done cold, ( the head has been replaced). Thanks

The lash settings should be on a sticker under the hood.  Well, that is how it is listed on U.S. imports.  The lash setting you gave should be for clod lash settings since it is such a pain to get the valve covers off to set them while hot.  Understand the hot setting is when the engine is warm and then the valves are adjusted.  With many of the new vehicles it is so difficult to get the valve cover off the engine will already be cold by the time you get to them.  Also, if yours is overhead cam the show should have set them for you.
