Nissan Repair: Nissan Altima 1999 front susspension, nissan altima, tie rod

Question
I have a 1999 Nissan Altima. I have a clicking in the driver side axle when I make a turn. I am thinking the axle needs to be replaced. Also I have had the passenger side tie rod replaced three times in the past two years. The car has 157,000 miles and for the most part is still running strong.

Can you direct me to instructions for replacing the front axles and do you have any suggestions for my tie rod problems

Answer
Steve,

Yes, it sounds like the CV needs to be replaced.  Now, if it clicks all the time it could be the wheel bearing.  I would put it on a lift and spin the wheel by hand to be sure.  The tie rod wearing out so often could be a problem with the manufacturer.  I would use a different brand to make sure this is not the case.
