Nissan Repair: how to adjust 2000 nissan altima trunk lid, nissan altima, speed crash

Kid tagged the rear end of car. low speed crash.can I adjust the trunk lid ? it is now up about 1/4 inch. Thank you.

Hi Brad -
Normally you can adjust the lid a little, but not much.

Open the trunk and find the latch. There should be a couple of 10MM bolts that hold it down. Loosen them and move the latch so the trunk can close against the seal better.

If this does not work, then the damage incurred might be worse than it looks - Take it to a body shop for realignment -
