Nissan Repair: trans swap, nissan 300z, 4x4 nissan

i have got a 87 4X4 nissan pathfinder with the V6 and 3 speed auto trans in it. i allso have a 83 nissan 300z with the same engine, but its got a 5 speed manul trans.will the 300z trans fit the 4X4 pathfinder? if not what other nissan can i get a 5 speed trans from that will fit my 4X4 pathfinder?

The 300 will not fit because your truck is 4X and that the bell housing nor tail housing will match up. Second, your looking at a huge expense in installing a new flywheel, clutch assembly and likely the ECM. The Nissan transmission that will fit is from another Pathfinder. Remember, your truck is 20 years old. If a person only drove 10,000 miles a year, the transmission you find to fit likely will have 200,000 miles on it. Be careful.
