Nissan Repair: 2004 Nissan Altima - electric failure, 2004 nissan altima, nissan altima

Question
Okay, I will, is there anything else, like maybe the altenator, or something like that.  Or could it possibly be the on board computer?  But remember it give me no indicator lights like the battery or anything.  The car thinks its fine.  This car only has 60000 miles on it, and I'd hate to give it up or put too much money into it.  Thank you for all of your help, and if your suggestions work, i will tell all my family and friends.

-----Question-----
Okay, I have a 2004 Nissan Altima. I will be driving down the road, and all the sudden I will have a power surge of some sort. Everything will stay on, but I will lose all acceleration. I will press on the gas and nothing. No lights or indicators showing anything is wrong.  I will pull over, put the car in park, sit for maybe 2 minutes, then put the car into drive and drive off like everything is fine. It happened at night once now, and I noticed the lights and everything will dim, but not go out, I will pull over, then see another surge in power, the lights will brighten again and I can drive off again. I have taken it to the dealer 3 times, and they cant find anything wrong with it. No codes or nothing at all. They have tried some things, but all its doing is wasting my money. Please help me!!
-----Answer-----
John,

Is it a 2.4 or 3.5?  I would say they should check the drive by wire circuit since the throttle is computer operated.  Either the stepper motor is going out on the throttle or the throttle is defective.  Have them do an ohms check on both.

Answer
If you go to Nissanusa.com and download the factory service manual you can get the readings for your stepper motor on the intake and the throttle under the dash.  Seems to me the dealer should be able to find the problem and it should not cost you more money since they charged you before and have not corrected the problem.  Call Nissan up and let them know your problem and concerns.
