Nissan Repair: various faults, air control valve, nissan maxima

Question
I have a big problem.  I have a 99 Nissan Maxima in which the following faults have poped up P1490,P1105,PO446 and PO505.  All this happened when the remote key entry did not work.  The car acted like it would not start and the radio came on but no sound and the antenna does not work.  After an hour the car runs fine and everything works, except same problem with radio (tape works), but still have faults.  Have checked all fuses and reset faults with nothing found.

Answer
Ed,

I cannot think that all of these things came on at once.  But, if they did the problem is probably tied to an over or under voltage.  That is, either the alternator was pumping way too much juice or the battery has gone south and still holding on.  I would first check the charging system to make sure it is functioning properly.  Autozone or Checker will check the charging system for free.  Then, check all the fuse links at the positive side of the battery cable.  Next, check all the fuses and relays.  Now that you did all that disconnect the battery and wait five minutes to clear the codes.  Reconnect and drive the car for three ignition cycles.  That is, start the car and drive it around the block, over a mile and do it again a couple of more times and then recheck the codes.  The following are what your codes are saying.  If these codes come back and are hard set you are looking at raplacement of the parts.  MAP sensor, air bypass valve, check the hoses under the car for a vapor leak or a defective gas cap and finally a idle air control valve.  But, I would do the above first to verify that they are really defective and that the computer was not freaked out due to an over or under voltage condition.
