Question -
I have a 95 maxima se 6cyl 3.0. It is making a whining noise. MY husband said it makes that noise when the power steering fluid is low. But we checked the fluid and it is full. Will the transmission make this noise? We check the trans. fluid but it is so clear that we can't tell if it needs fulid or not. Please help me, the whining is getting louder.
Thank you,
Crystal

Answer -
HI Crystal,

Does this noise change with the speed of the car? If so then I would have my wheel bearings checked.

Answer
Ah, in the wheels! LOL In the hub assemblies of each wheel. Transmissions can make a noise also, but I suggest you have this diagnosed. There are just to many things in a car that can make noises to try and guess what it might be. Cottman Transmissions will gladly look for you for free.
