Nissan Repair: Airconditioner/missing belt, haynes manual, nissan quest

The airconditioner no longer works in my 1991 Nissan Quest - help? The belt to what I believe is simply nonexistant, which would make sense, considering the  AC doesn't work. Can you inform me what kind of belt I need, where I can get it, how to install it, the works. Sorry it's a lot of questions, but my kids are driving me up a wall. THANKS!!!!

Yes, the belt to the airconditioner can be replaced.  Go to the local parts store and get one of those.  Before you install it make sure the compressor is not frozen.  Otherwise, the new belt will be damaged.  You might need a new compressor and receiver dryer to get things going.  Buy a Haynes manual from the parts store too as they have nice pictures to show how the belt goes on.
