Nissan Repair: 87 Nis, fuel pressure regulator, foreign experts

Question
i have a stanza with a hard start, rough no idle, and sometimes no start,2.0L. The fuel pressure has been checked and it runs 45 to 50 so thats ok. Some times it runs poorly but not often. It has been to a couple of shops but none with foreign experts as there aren't many around here. some one has fooled with the tp sensor so i would like to know how to reset that, also it ran the same or lack of running before the sensor was adjusted. i have to feather the throttle to obtain rpm seems to run ok at 2,000 to 5,000 rpms but falls on its face to idle and often won't start, thank you in advance for any help this is my only way to work. I know that this question has been asked before, but the 1st response was sent to the incorrect email address. Thanks

Answer
Wendy,

I think the fuel pressure regulator is going out since it seems that fifty is a little high for idle.  I would check with vacuum disconnected and see if it changes.  If not the pressure regulator is defective.  Other areas of concern would be the plugs being old or fouled.
