Nissan Repair: 2000 Sentra instrument panel, instrument panel, gages

Question
The gages on my 2000 Sentra intermittingly fail. The lights on the panel continue to work. Cleaning the two connectors going to the panel has no effect. Some of your previous answers talk about a resistor on the panel, but mine has six 2W resistors and several smaller ones. When the failure occurs all of the gages fail as well as the odometer. Thanks for you help.

If it is not the harness and the resistors check good then I would be checking the ignition to make sure the key returns to position where everything works and if not that then I would look at the connection again to make sure it is tight.  Everything here is the key.  Either the power is cut at the ignition switch or the connection to the instrument panel is defective.  Email me back with what you find.
