Nissan Repair: Driver power seat, side airbags, nissan dealer

Question
My wife has a 2002 Maxima SE. Nice car, but the driver's side power seat has started acting up. The seat won't slide forward. It seems like there is something binding, but when I look underneath the seat I can not see anything that might be causing this.
I was told by the Nissan dealer yesterday that it needed a new motor and would be @ $500.00 to fix.
The only thing is the seat will move everything else just fine. Only problem is sliding forward.
Can I just go buy another seat from a junk yard and take replacement parts off of it? Would this be a fairly easy thing for someone not super mechanically inclined? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Brian,

Yes, I would go with the wrecking yard seat and do it myself.  The nice part is all you have to do is take one off and replace it with the other.  It is not difficult.  If you ahve side airbags and I am pretty sure you do not you should disconnect the battery first to keep the airbag light from coming on after you are done.
