Nissan Repair: nissan sentra clunk, nissan sentra, cv boot

Question
I have a 92 nissan sentra and it makes a large clunk from the front passenger side when hitting a bump.  At one time it did sound like the cv joint clicking but now there is a large clunk.  If I bounce the car up and down while sitting in driveway i can't reproduce the sound.  Only when driving.  Is this a CV problem, strut problem, or bearing plate?  Thanks.

Answer
Ed,

If you look inside the front wheels and there is a lot of grease the CV boot is blown.  If you have a clunk when hitting bumps it is probably the strut.  The strut plate usually makes noise when turning the wheel.  But, the strut makes noise when you ride over bumps.
