I need an alternator for a 1996 Sl400 lexus. How much amps do i need? I would like to put it in myself. Can you recommend a type, place to get it and pricee for a new one.  Thanks

Yes. That should not be that difficult to replace. Ensure you disconnect the negative side of the battery before proceeding.
