Nissan Repair: Repair questions on 1998 Nissan Altima, nissan altima, hattiesburg ms

Question
Hello,
 1) For the past year, my car has made a "singing" noise from under the hood, sounds like from the left/passenger side.  Now, its almost stoppped the singing sound but when I turn to the left, it makes a "grinding" sound.  What could this be?
2) Also, my driver's power window does not work anymore.  What is cost to fix (approx.)?  3) It seems like something needs to be done to my brakes quite frequently.  Why?  What could be causing this? I am from Hattiesburg, MS.  Thank you.

Answer
Loy, the singing noise could be the brakes making a light squeak.  If you replace the slides along with the pads and get them from Nissan you should be fine on getting rid of the noise and the pads wearing out so soon.

On the drivers side door window it is most probably the motor.  It is about $100 for a new one and it takes a couple of hours to take the door panel off and replace the motor.  The drivers side window gets used the most and goes out first in most cases.
