Nissan Repair: ocasional stalling, throttle position sensor, sensor module

Question
I have a 95 max GLE, 241,000 miles. I maintain it and have noticed an occasional stalling, not weather related, live in ATL, still warm weather. It will usually stall at idle, usually have to put it in neutral, get the rpm up for a new seconds to recover, then let it return to normal idle and place back in drive.A few times it stalled completely and had to be restarted. I also see some hesitation at lower RPM when driving. Changed fuel filter and cleaned injectors, not sure if it would be the idle sensor module (IAC)or something else. Not sure if the fuels formulas have changed lately and this is part of it. Any direction would be appreciated. The "check engine' has not appreared.

Thanks, Dave

Answer
Dave,

The peoper way is to take the throrrle body off and clean it out with carburetor cleaner.  But, mark the position of the throttle position sensor and remove it before you do or you could kill it with the cleaner.  now, with everything clean reinstall it and you should be fine.  If not then you should replace the throttle position sensor.  The idle is set correct?  Once the throttle body is clean it should go up about fifty rpms from freeing up the internal idle circuit passage.
