Nissan Repair: 97 Nissan Pathfinder Starter, nissan pathfinder, adonis

Question

NO, I tried that.  I have noarrowed it down to something electrical.  There's only 8 volts in one of the points when there should be 12.  There's power going to the starter, just not enough.  I bench tested the starter and it works.  Do you or have you everheard of this?

The third starter and it doesn't start the truck.  I bench tested it and it works.  There's something to do with the relays and the circuits of the starter--something about some "S" circuit...are you familar with that?
Answer -
Adonis,

Check the shifter interlock to see if it is going out.  Shift from park to neutral.  And, if you have a standard push in the clutch several times while turning the key.

Answer
Adonis, then it is your ignition switch that is defective.  When you turn the key to start there is 12 volts that goes to the starter and the coil.  When you release the key the circuit drops to 9 volts to keep from frying the coil and the 12 volts to the starter turns off.  Or, now to think of it I have seen the wires reversed on the starter and that could be causing the problem.
