Nissan Repair: 1987 200sx starter locked, pep boys, lifetime warranty

It seems the starter on my 87 200sx has (stuck)locked , it always worked fine with no drag or signs of wear until it just stopped yesterday . Now it gives a click when I turn the key and nothing more . I am assuming it is locked up somehow , and suggestions ?

First off the battery is charged up?  If so, then the starter is done.  With the years and miles on the car the brushes usually give up and all you get is the click and nothing turns.  Get a rebuilt unit from Pep Boys or the like and you should be good to go and a plus is getting the one with the lifetime warranty.  So, when yours goes out again you can get the replacement for free.  I would not go with an Autozone unit or Checker as I have had problems with their rebuilt starters and alternators.
