Nissan Repair: Knock Sensor?, nissan altima, good tank

1995 Nissan Altima 2.4 4 Cyl.  Car is skipping upon accelertion, especially bad when AC is on.    Getting 0304 Code which says Knock Sensor, or is this a cylinder misfire?  Please give some advice.  Can the KS be repalaced without removing the manifold?  Please respond to email address if possible, Thanks Much

I would check the codes after clearing them again and driving the car for a bit.  Get a good tank of high test gas and see if the codes stay gone.  If not the you are on the right track with the knock sensor.  But, before I spent the money I would replace the spark plugs if they have not been changed by the recommended period.  Yes, it is a fun job but you can change the sensor without removing the intake.
