Nissan Repair: 1998 Mitsubichi spyder Eclipse Turbo Convertible, crank shaft, better business bureau

Question
My Mitsubichi Dealership service dept. rebuilt my Spyder's engine back to original factory specifications- Cost: $4,0000.
after engine was completed, I have made 2 attempts to drive my car over 5 miles away from dealership: IT BREAKS DOWN! First they said it was the "crank shaft"... again broke down. NOW they are telling me that there are TWO sensors that need to be replaced ...that MIGHT be the problem. but, I need to pay for the parts and labor because these sensors have nothing to do with the rebuilt engine. What should I do?
This Mitsubichi dealership diagnosed the need for the rebuilt engine. I have paid the $4,000 in full...CASH! Please give me some good advise! Thank you! Char

Answer
I would ask for a written description of the problems they have given you as to the reason the car is not running.  Then I would go to the zone representative to get the problem solved.  Mitsubishi is working hard for a reputation of quality and this dealership is blowing it.  If the zone representative is of no use call Mistubishi direct at the 800 number in California and explain the situation to them.  Also, there is the better business bureau in your town that you can talk to.  The nice thing is they will resolve the problem if you are willing to go the distance and rais enough hell with the authorities to get the problem solved.  So, hang in there and the dealer will come around to your way of thinking.
