Nissan Repair: 1993 nissan altima, nissan altima, cylinder car

hi,

I have a 1993 nissan altima, the car vibrates when it is in drive or reverse. but the vibration goes away when the vehicle is in park or neutral.
i have been told that it could be one of the mounts.
what is ur opinion on this, it is a 4 cylinder car.

Four cylinder engines do shake in drive or reverse.  If the vibration is more than it used to be the motor mounts are probably going bad.  Check for cracks in the rubber mounts and replace those that have excessive movement.  It is usually the front one that goes bad on your car first.
