Nissan Repair: brakes, nissan navara, signs point

brakes are not working as they should do have to push brake peddle hard down to stop in time with triple distance requide to stop  or pump brakes to try and stop checked brake cable is ok could it be the master cylinder .1988 nissan navara d/cab

I would check all the brakes and lines for leaks to include the master cylinder.  But, all signs point to getting a master cylinger replacement.  Also, be sure to use Ford High Performance Brake Fluid as it has a higher boiling point and is non synthetic so it will not hurt your brake system.
