I have a 1985 Nissan Stanza fuel injected.The engine runs good except for a bit of surging only the engine will not start after it is hot.I can start it when the engine is cold but after running down the road shut it off and it absolutely will not start.

Does it crank?  If it does I would say the distributor has oil in it that is getting on the optical pickup.  After the car cools off the oil runs back down and it will run again the next time.  Take the cap off and the rotor and the cover under the rotor and you will see if you have oil on the optical pickup.
