91 Nissan Maxima - Front Wiper Linkage
Can you tell me how to access the 91 Nissan Maxima - Front Windshield Wiper Linkage?
Is it accessible directly from the exterior,
or is there a cowling, etc. that has to be removed?
The wipers both stopped, but the wiper motor works. Do you think this is motor linkage ordrive arm or? an I get the repair parts separate only at Nissan dealer? The wipers stopped after "someone" replaced old wipers with new - maybe stressed/broke linkage?

I would think the linkage fell off as it is on a ball fulcrum and they can pop off.  I have seen the arm broken on these before so that would be a possibility too.  Try to move the wipers back and forth and see if they move.  If they do it the arm has broken of come off and if that is the case you need to remove the wipers and cowl cover.  Just pop off the caps on the wipers and take the ten millimeter bolt loose on each.  Now, that the wiper arms are off you can get to the cowl cover.  Take it off and see which it is.

If the arms do not move and you say the wiper motor makes noise like it runs you will need to remove the motor and inspect it to see if the end is stripped.
