Nissan Repair: noise in the engine, 1990 nissan 240sx, nissan 240sx

I have a 1990 nissan 240sx st shift.I needed a tune up,and I had a mechanic done it for me.next tine I heard a noise ,he said that were the lifters that needed to be adjusted and I  paid him to do it he change the head, the noise still there. Do you think this car would ever fix or  the engine is messed up
what can I do?

The head does not have anything to do with the lifters.

You need to replace the lifter (or a valve job).

Also, try a different shop.  If the mechanic told you it was the "lifters" and he changed the head instead.  He might not have all his "ducks in a row".
