Nissan Repair: Starter, fuse box, dash lights

Question
I got a 2000 Sentra SE. My car won't start it not making any noise when I turn the key. The battery is 3 month old. Can you tell me where is the starter located? Is it easy to remove or is there something in the way?

Answer
Trinity,

There is a few things in the way of the starter.  Although there maybe two other things you might want to check first before you replace the starter.

Check this out first:

*If you turn the key and there is NO dash lights, no power; check your battery it may be bad or just might have a loose battery terminal.

if NOT then

*Check your fuse box for a blowen fuse (Electronics ignition fuse) this is the one you need to find. IF this is blowen replace the fuse and then try to start.

You know what, while you are at the fuse box, just check the entire fuse box for any and ALL blowen fuses.  If any blowen replace and try to start.

IF NOT then

*The bendix on the starter might be hanging up; this could cause it not to start.  If it is the bendix, then yes you would have to replace the starter.
