Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: heater 98 lesabre, heater blower, good heat

Question
I have notice that sometimes in the cold my heater will not blow out full force. It may blow or may not, but as the car runs it will blow out full force about 2 to 20 minutes later. Even if the car has run for a long time and I turn the car off for just 10 seconds it my not blow full force again. I know if I want good heat I have to let the car run and not shut it off.It is like the blower selector is on the lowest setting and then will come on when it wants to. Last winter I had this same problem but in the spring and summer it did not happen one time until the other day when it was cold. I had the heater resistors replaced and I'm not sure if it is the heater blower.

Answer
Hi
It really sounds like you MAY have 2 different issues.
The heat, and the blower.
2 seperate items.
The blower MAY be the resistor again. It MAY also be the HVAC controller.
If the controller is at fault, it MAY be that it is also not allowing heat to be properly mixed.
As much as I'd LOVE to help you for sure on this, I will suggest taking it to a GOOD repair shop in your area, and having the HVAC system properly diagnosed. Have them check the HVAC controller for codes..... It MAY store trouble codes that will aid in diagnostics.
I am sorry, but I hope this helps
