Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: horn/air bag, oldsmobile 88, inflator

Question
Recently i took my 1995 Oldsmobile 88 in to get a new ignition put in.  They put a new ignition in and i drove it off the lot.  I got a a few blocks away  and the horn was blasting continuously.  I took it back they fixed it and it was fine.  About two weeks after that i ran to the store and left my car running while i went inside for 30 seconds.  Without anything hitting my vehicle the horn started blasting like before and my air bag has deployed.  I took it back and said there was no pinched wires from there work, but before that i have had no problems related to that at all.  Any ideas on what it would be?  Is it probably them and if it is then is there anything i can do?

Answer
Hi
Since you have a deployed air bag, I would recommend taking it to a good repair shop and have it re diagnosed.
Then IF it is a problem from the other shop, I would then either contact a lawyer or BBB or Chamber of Commerce.
That would be my advice.
Get a second opinion.
Maybe even a third. Get photos. Make sure YOU have all info and material to back YOUR claim up.
I Hope this helps
Good Luck

PS, let me also add, the ONLY, ONLY thing that can deploy an air bag is a completed circuit. That is IT, period. Either from the front end sensor closing, completeing the circuit, OR the 2 wires going to the inflator touching together, OR one touching ground or positive or vice versa.
That is IT, PERIOD.
