Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: speedometer and odometer quit, vehicle speed sensor, vehicle speed sensor vss

I have a 1990 Buick Lesabre. The speedometer and odometer quit working. Any ideas where to start looking such as sensors or parts?  Thanks, JANET

If all the rest of the guages work, I would not suspect a fuse.
So next would be to make sure the wire is connected to the vehicle speed sensor,(VSS) on the transmission, and to make sure you don't have some damaged or chewed wires due to rodents.
