Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 1992 Buick Century water pump and thermostat, buick century, houseing

Question
I need to replace my daughters water pump and thermostat.  I have been trying to find info online but haven't had any luck.
We put Anti-freeze and water in the radiator and it just runs right out but not from the radiator.  I called the local Buick dealership and they want about $385.00 to fix them both.  We don't have that kind of money so I have been able to find the parts for about $50.00 and thought that I could do it myself.  But, I need direction.  Please help.
Thank you in advance.
