Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Buick Hose Connector Broke Off, buick lasabre, vacuum hose

Question
The person I submitted the original question to is not available, but I'm hoping you can help

I have a Buick LaSabre 1994 Custom, but can't find the exact part number or description of the hose connector that broke.  The hose is about 8 Inches long and is under the Alternator.  It goes from one part of the engine to another part.  The last connector on the enclosed web site looks something like it before the threaded part broke off.  Does this help....I don't think I can find anything else.

Question -
My car overheated.  I got it home and when it cooled down I found that one of the hoses was out, but the connector which fits into the engine hole sheared off at the opening.  How do I get it out?  Is there a tool?

hello frank
need to knoew what kind of car you have and what part is sheard off pete

Answer
Those fittings on that web page look like vacuum hose connections, but I think what you really have broken is the thermostat bypass hose fitting.
If it is actually threaded, an easy-out, or ease-out is what you will need.
Some of those are just pressed in, not threaded.

I believe the hose you are talking about connects between the water pump, and the thermostat housing.
