Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Buick LeSabre Climate Control, vacuum tank, vacuum line

Question
I have a 95 Buick LeSabre with 106,000 miles and today I noticed that when I press any mode button on the climate controls, air only comes out of the lower center floor vent. The max, vent, bi-level, buttons will light up but air cannot be directed anywhere else. Slide heat/cool, and fan controls all work normally as does the "off" button. Yesterday I replaced the spark plugs, wires and serpintine belt, and have checked carefully under the hood to make sure I didn't accidently disconnect anything. I assume the air problem is just a coincidence. Any suggestions? Thanks,  Jim

Answer
Hi jim

Sounds like the vacuum to the control is disconnected,in the engine compartment look for any vacuum lines either disconnected or broken, also look for a vacuum line that comes from the right side of the firewall and goes to a vacuum tank, this vacuum line is what controls the modes for your climate control, repair the vacuum line and it should work, let me know.
